These scores are sometimes given a lot of weight by schools or are only part of the consideration involved. Some schools, conversely, don’t even measure SAT or ACT scores and don’t require them as part of the application process. Mortar must be applied in a consistent level of thickness for the entire structure, so fine motor control and an eye for aesthetics is very helpful. As a bricklayer, you may also be required to use hand tools. Practice this skill so that you are confidant of your strength and degree of control. Apprenticeship programs to become a bricklayer are widely available from community and career colleges. These programs combine classroom studies with supervised work experience. Although not required, most employers prefer candidates who have completed high school. During the apprenticeship program, you will take courses in blueprint reading, math, patterns, and designs. A minimum of 144 hours of classroom work, combined with three years working experience are necessary to become a bricklayer. Either a state agency or the bricklayers association grants certification as a bricklayer. Both have specific requirements of education and experience that must be met. In addition, written tests are sometime required to confirm your knowledge of safe building practices. Once you have obtained certification, you are now a journeyman bricklayer. Once you become a bricklayer, you can earn between $17 and $30 US Dollars (USD) per hour. The workday often starts at 7:30 in the morning and ends at 3:00 in the afternoon, but longer hours may be required to meet a deadline. There are many opportunities to open your own firm, once you have become a licensed bricklayer.

“2009馬爹利非凡藝術人物”今晚在今日亮相

“倫敦眼”的設計者推出新的風輪概念設計 [圖]

據英國AJPLUS網站7月13日報道，設計過倫敦眼的Mark Barfiled事務所近日推出了新的風輪概念設計的圖片。 這座風輪是和年輕的工程公司XCO2合作開發的，目標是防止在城市場地。預期這些風輪將在倫敦最重要的一些地方豎立起來。 從圖片上可以看到，豎立起來的風車與諾曼•福斯特的市政廳的對比。設計的目標是城市開發，因為它采用了5個垂直的“三組螺旋”風輪，被稱作“靜音革命”，每一個風輪的高度是5米，直徑是3米。 由XCO2開發的這項技術實現了“超靜音運行和城市峰利用的高效率。”David Marks和Julia Barfield在一份聯合聲明中說：“風能是可再生資源的最佳形式。但是大多數風輪放在很遙遠的地方，沒有任何現有的基礎設施。這是沒有效率的，因為30%到50%的能源在傳輸中丟失。我們相信像倫敦這樣的城市應該為自己的能源承擔起更大的責任。借著舉辦奧運會的契機，倫敦有改變的獨有機遇。”

“亂劈柴”葉強當代繪畫展

著名藝術史家沃爾夫林曾經將“塊面式”的作畫風格與“線描式”的作畫風格區分為兩個完全不同的藝術表現范疇。從藝術史上看，不同的藝術家的確是在用不同方式作畫。例如，著名的藝術大師魯本斯與荷爾拜因就極不相同，且各執牛耳。而藝術家葉強作畫的獨特之處就在于：他不但將“塊面式”的作畫風格與“線描式”的風格巧妙地揉和在了一起，還有意將中外古典藝術中的圖像與來自現實的圖像很好地并置在了一起。從表面上看去，他是為了利用后現代的文化策略去獲得個人化的藝術風格，以便在藝術界占有一席之地。但從根本上看，他還是為了打破時間與空間的局限性，然后形象化地將各種不同的價值追求呈現在一起。實際上，也正是從這些光怪陸離的夢幻畫面與矛盾空間中，或者說是在“無厘頭”式的惡搞中，觀眾體會到了人類社會畸形發展與走向自我毀滅的可怕圖景。由此人們既可以聯想到沒完沒了的戰爭場面，也可以聯想到對自然無度的開發…… 　　葉強畫作中的藝術符號大致可以分為兩類：一類是象征戰爭、野蠻與暴力的火焰、濃煙、軍隊、飛機、推土機與戰爭狂人等等；另一類則是象征美好、自然與寧靜狀態的飛馬、石獅、山川、天使、古代民居與文人雅集圖等等。不幸的是，前者不斷地在破壞著后者，威脅著后者。這顯然是葉強畫中總是有火焰、濃煙的原因。于是，和諧不存在了，自然被摧毀了，理想給抽空了，世界的末日即將來臨。不過，葉強決不是要表達一種悲觀厭世的消極情緒，恰恰相反，他是希望用既夸張又極端的方式，喚起人類內在的良知，從而以實際行動去使世界變得更加美好。在我看來，這也正是他作品的思想價值之所在。 　　在一篇不太長的《創作自白》中，葉強把他“亂”作畫的方式等同于重慶人所說的“亂劈柴”。因為重慶人在喝啤酒、行酒令前總有一大聲吆喝的過門——“亂劈柴！”，其意指不論輩分，不論規矩，自由自在。其實，“亂”恰恰是我們這個時代的基本特征，它表明了重建人類基本價值感的無比重要性。葉強的敏感之處是：一方面他抓住了這一時代的重要特征，另一方面他又由此探索出了自己的藝術創作方向，這是非常不容易的。相信一切有著相同知識背景的人都會與他創作的畫面形成積極的互動關系。 　　祝愿葉強沿著自己開辟的藝術之路走得越來越好。 　　是為序。 　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　魯虹 　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　 2007年4月26日于深圳美術館 展覽城市：四川-成都 策展人：四川藍色空間藝術品有限公司 展覽時間：2007年6月16日-2007年6月26日 開幕酒會：2007年6月16日下午15：30 展覽地點：藍色空間畫廊 主辦單位：四川藍色空間藝術品有限公司 承辦單位：成都藍色空間畫廊 地址：成都市水碾河路48號嬌子音樂廳一樓西側 郵編：610061 電話：028-84456916 傳真：028-84456906 郵箱：lansekongjianhualang@yahoo.com.cn 網址：www.lansekongjianhualang.com

2008年第1期美國《景觀設計學》雜志封面 　　 　　新年伊始，北京土人景觀與建筑規劃設計研究院在一片歡聲笑語中迎來了“十周歲”生日慶典，而此時，2007年度獲美國景觀設計師協會設計榮譽獎的““綠蔭里的紅飄帶””也被選為美國2008年第1期《景觀設計學》雜志封面，主編專門寫刊首語，給以隆重推薦。這是土人設計的第四個項目獲得國際最權威的LA雜志專門評論。 　　《景觀設計學》雜志主編威廉湯姆森J.William“Bill”Thompson先生在篇首語中對此案例強調：“這個公園的非凡之處在于――在一個將嚴格控制的景觀作為標準的文化里――景觀設計師解放了河流，并讓植物自由生長。紅飄帶公園可以作為當代中國很好的范例。如果中國更多的公園、學校和其它公共景觀都能遵從這種范例，中國將擁有一個更加可再生的、友好的環境”。 　　秦皇島湯河公園從設計到實施，歷時一年時間，設計師用最少的人工投入，將地處城鄉結合部的一條臟、亂、差的河流廊道，改造成一處魅力無窮的城市生態休憩地。該設計最大限度地保留原有河流生態廊道的綠色基底，并引入一條以玻璃鋼為材料的、長達500米的“紅色飄帶，”它整合了包括步道、座椅、環境解釋系統、鄉土植物展示、燈光等多種功能和設施，使這一昔日令路人掩鼻繞道、有安全隱患、可達性極差的城郊荒地和垃圾場，變成令人流連忘返的城市游憩地和生態綠廊。 　　“這個公園的引入，對中國來說是一種陌生的藝術設計形式，為景觀界開創了新局面。在整個過程中，設計師創造出一個生態敏感公園，是當代中國與世界聯系的象征，同時也喚起了這個民族的歷史”，佛羅里達大學景觀設計系副教授MaryG.Padua在實地參觀完“紅飄帶”后發出如此的感慨。 　　從2006年7月完成施工至今，該項目已經引起了國內外的廣泛關注，國務院副總理曾培炎及各相關兄弟城市的領導先后參觀了此項目，使其成為今天踐行“節約型”園林城市的典范。同時，該項目還榮獲了“2007年度美國景觀設計師協會設計榮譽獎”，得到國際景觀屆的認同。 　　《景觀設計學》此次還派專人對該項目進行實地考察，用長達10頁的版幅，全面客觀地介紹和評論了該項目。

2006“馬爹利非凡藝術人物”亮相

五位來自不同領域的藝術家榮膺了2006年度“馬爹利非凡藝術人物”。他們分別是：當代油畫家張曉剛，當代女性藝術家林天苗，新媒體獨立藝術家王功新，中國先鋒雕塑家展望以及法國攝影大師馬克·呂布（MarcRiboud）。6月2日晚在北京中國美術館隆重舉行了頒獎盛典。 出生于1958年的張曉剛，從上世紀80年代開始以表現主義風格的油畫活躍于藝術界，90年代以后，他以家族和舊照片為母題的作品先后參加了一系列重要展覽，受到廣泛好評。 當代女性藝術家林天苗的藝術創作以裝置設計為主，其作品風格直接，同時又細致入微，內涵豐富，反映出獨特的審美經驗和內在文化素質。由她設計建造的“藏酷酒吧”和“粉酷餐館”被稱為北京時尚文化的新地標。 另一位獲獎者王功新是林天苗的丈夫，他被認為是中國最早的“新媒體藝術家”之一，其藝術創作涉及錄像藝術及裝置設計等領域，善于用獨特的新媒體語言，將常見的生活細節景象濃縮起來，反映社會的變遷及人們的生存狀態、心理體驗。 頗具探索精神的雕塑家展望，從1990年開始從事超寫實主義雕塑創作。他窮10年之功完成的代表作《假山石》系列，以不銹鋼的材質塑造了人功化、現代化的“假山石”，意在對中國傳統文化進行重新闡釋，表現城市工業化進程。 現年83歲的馬克·呂布被稱為一名真正的行者。他14歲開始攝影，二戰期間曾參加反法西斯游擊隊，1951年開始專職從事攝影工作，1952年加入蜚聲國際的瑪格南圖片社，曾任瑪格南歐洲分部主席多年。他的足跡遍及全球，尤其是印度、中國、越南、美國和中東，用獨特的視角，觀察人類社會的各個角落，出版了大量的攝影作品專集，包括《日本婦女》（1951）、《加納》1964、《北越：面孔》（1970）、《中國印象》（1981）等。他在攝影中堅持抓拍，不干涉對象，作品注重細節與內涵，畫面平實而又耐人尋味。 融合了法蘭西藝術氣質與干邑文化的馬爹利與藝術攜手，推崇“獨具慧眼，領悟非凡”的品鑒藝術，自2004年起每年舉辦“馬爹利非凡藝術人物”大獎評選，褒獎那些在藝術世界里充滿靈感與才華的藝術家們。在過去2年內，憑借專家顧問團的獨到評析、獲獎藝術家的個人魅力以及廣大媒體的鼎力支持，已成功推介了八位來自不同藝術領域的年度“馬爹利非凡藝術人物”，其中包括著名演員梁家輝、畫家方世聰、攝影作家張耀、法國的筆雕塑家米歇爾·奧迪亞（MichelAudiard）、玻璃藝術家王俠軍，電影導演賈樟柯，綜合視覺藝術家水禾田，以及法國傳奇攝影家莎拉·莫恩（SarahMoon）。

迷你倉-福建長汀發生一起山體滑坡造成3人死亡

新華網福州５月２９日電（沈汝發 蘇高龍）福建省龍巖市長汀縣２８日晚發生一起山體滑坡，造成３人被埋，２９日上午３人遺體被找到。 　　 據參與救援的武警龍巖市支隊有關負責人介紹，事故發生在２８日晚９時半左右，由于當地普降大雨，長汀縣黃坑村一處山體滑坡，這個村的一幢民房被埋，３人脫險，３人不幸被埋。 　　 事故發生后，當地政府和武警、消防等立即趕到現場進行救援，由于山體大量垮塌，一直到２９日上午９時半左右，３人遺體才被找到，已經全部不幸遇難。 　　 目前，事故善后事宜正在處理中。

迷你倉-涪陵一客車翻下8米山坡 9乘客受輕傷

重慶商報12日訊（鄭三波 陳孝波）今天上午，記者從涪陵區公安局交警支隊五大隊了解到，昨天下午3點左右，一輛涪陵開往百勝的客車牌照渝G08092，行駛在小拱橋附近走百勝方向不遠處，側翻一8米高左右的堡坎下，幸運的是只有9名乘客均受輕傷。 　　今天下午記者聯系上當時一名張姓乘客。他稱，當時客車由涪陵開往百勝，當時車上有10多名乘客。當客車行駛到事發地時，為了躲避前面的一輛摩托車發生了這次側翻事故，車左邊損傷嚴重。據了解，這輛客車是涪陵天龍客運出租有限公司的車輛，準載25人。 　　據涪陵天龍客運出租有限公司一負責人講，該客車確是為了躲避摩托車而翻下山坡的，9名傷者已送往醫院救治，傷情均較輕，并無生命危險。 　　目前，涪陵區公安局交警支隊五大隊還在對事故具體原因進一步調查。

迷你倉-氟化氫泄漏 8小時排險

新報訊 記者 周白石孫瑜15302112011一輛裝有25噸氟化氫液態氣體的罐車在高速公路行駛時，罐體突然發生泄漏。為了防止發生危險，現場的搶險人員馬上將高速公路臨時封閉一個小時。最后，發生泄漏的罐車被帶到離高速公路出口幾百米遠的空曠地，經過8個小時的排險，終于將險情排除。 　　事情發生在昨天7：35左右，一輛外地牌照的罐車行駛到榮烏高速715公里附近時，罐車司機從貨車后視鏡發現，罐車尾部有少量的白色煙霧冒出，而且還能聞到少許刺鼻味道。司機意識到是罐中的化學品發生泄漏。隨后，他將車輛停在高速公路的應急帶上并打電話報警。 　　靜海消防支隊、54中隊的消防人員以及本市安全生產監督管理的相關人員迅速趕到現場，罐車司機向現場的搶險人員解釋，這輛罐車一共裝有25噸氟化氫，從內蒙古赤峰出發的，準備運往山東淄博的一個生產廠家。 　　考慮到氟化氫是一種有毒、強腐蝕性的化學品，消防人員一邊將現場上風口和下風口幾百米的地方都設置警戒線，一邊通知高速公路有關人員采取臨時封閉措施。幾名消防人員穿著防化服走到罐車前，經過檢查，發現是罐體的左后側與罐體支架的連接處發生泄漏，泄漏點大小有5厘米左右。 　　昨天9：40左右，搶險人員考慮到高速公路已經封閉一個小時，而且在高速公路上搶險也比較危險，隨后，這輛罐車在消防車的護送下，行駛到了離出口幾百米遠的205國道馬廠減河橋準備排險。 　　昨天12：00左右。記者趕到現場。現場安全生產監督局的工作人員說，險情發生后，他們就趕到了現場，并且立即通知相關的生產廠家趕到這里。從目前的情況來看，罐體中的氟化氫有一部分已經變成了氣體，才導致罐體內氣壓過高，他們已經聯系廠家，準備再派來一輛帶罐的車，然后將罐體中蓄滿水，將變成氣體的氟化氫融入水中，減輕罐體中的壓力，就可以將險情排除。 　　昨天13：00左右，一輛裝有空罐的大貨車迅速趕到現場，幾名消防人員將消防水帶的一頭接在消防車上，另一頭接在空罐上。然后向空罐中蓄滿水。這個時候，穿著防化服的消防人員站在離兩輛罐車不遠處，兩輛罐車的司機將尾部停靠得很近，廠家的工作人員從裝有氟化氫的罐體中引出一根管子，另一頭放在裝有水的罐體中，馬上開始倒罐。16：00左右，險情才全部排除。
